Modular Tool Rest System
A lot of turners have problems with their lathe tool rest. Which are
either cast or made from low grade steel and tend to be relatively soft.
When a square tool, like a parting tool, is used it can dig into the
rest creating notches. This can make it difficult to smoothly move the

......The Crossbars from the Sorby Modular Tool Rest System are made from hardened
steel, greatly reducing this problem
and therefore enhancing the
ease and enjoyment for the turner.
This system has many design features that make it the MUST HAVE in every
wood turner's workshop.
Choose the Stem that fits your lathe - stems are available in
1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", 25mm & 30mm
diameter.
Then select from the Crossbar range the one that suits your
requirements.
Screw them together and you will have a perfect
tool rest.
Once you have the Stem you can just keep adding
different Crossbars. The securing flats machined on the Stem ensure a
perfect fit when screwed into the toolrest |
