Made in High Speed Steel in 10, 16, & 20 threads per inch, with a unique, enhanced  helix angle specially designed for use in wood.

For those attempting their first steps in thread cutting, we recommend starting with the finer tooth pitches. Woods for threading should be close grained hardwoods such as, boxwood, African blackwood, cocobolo, lignum vitae, Gidgee.

Relief  Cutting Tool
After hollowing out the inside of your blank the Relief Tool is designed to cut a relief rebate at the bottom of the hollowed out area a little deeper than the section to be threaded. 
As you reach the end of the threaded section you can lift the Thread Cutter clear of the thread without stripping it. The rebate allows this clearance.

Tool Support
This is used to support the internal Thread Cutting Tool.

It is placed across the lathe tool rest, to support the Thread Cutting Tool and help to control it. As the thread is cut the hook on the end of the support tool enables you to gently pull the the thread cutter towards you to keep it in contact with the thread.
